Calling the brain trust
I ordered a Solas SS prop and rubex hub kit, RBX-150. I went to install it over the weekend and the hub kit doesn't seem to be compatible with my prop shaft
The existing thrust washer had a collar on it to catch the splines when pressed up to the bearing. The new thrust washer doesn't have the collar and just spins when pushed all the way back to the bearing. See photo
Not sure what else is going on, but the spacer doesn't catch any splines either, it like the prop shaft needs to be a 1/2" longer or something.
I verified I have the RBX-150 kit, and it says it is compatible with the DF90A
I don't know how it would work, but want to check with you all before I send back a $350 prop
