Dual 03 df140's. All switches individually work correctly. I select the dual setting on the binnacle and only the engine I'm selecting goes up or down.

Probably dirty contacts inside your switch. If your switch faces upwards, water can (did this on my twins) seep/ puddle inside, causing contacts to deteriorate.
If your controls are not out in the weather (protected by cover, in a shed, etc.), then check the wire plug connections to that switch, they may be a little dirty.
I had to replace my switch, and now have a waterproof sock over controls.

Too switch apart and someone has been in there before, contacts where scratched and a broken spring. Ordered another switch so we shall see.Comment

I have a new switch and a new problem. how does this wire into the trim wires? 3 wires from each trim, 6 total. green red blue. Then 4 wires from the dual trim switch. two pink two blue. The previous switch is identical but was not wired in.

sheesh, parts diagram showed it. My harness had fallen down and I couldn't see it. Plugged right in.Comment
