2007 DF90 showing no voltage on gauge

Charged up the batteries and hooked up the muffs. Started right up but volt gauge not showing any volts. Ran it for a little while and still no volts. Turned it off and turned the key to on without starting and gauge still reads zero. Need a starting point to troubleshoot. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the wires at the gauge for voltage with a meter? If no voltage at the wires then you will have to trace the wires back looking for corrosion and or a defective splice.
