Suzuki 350 ATXX change of tilt cylinder

Hello, i accedently bent my tilt cylinder on my outboard, blew the gasket on the piston, leaking oil and what not, i have a new tilt cylinder, so the question is this!, do i need to remove the engine to change the tilt?, or is it pretty simple?,
