I have a Suzuki DF70A, I have looked and It seems that the only difference between the DF70A and DF90A is the ECM, is this correct? I was wondering if I was to upgrade my motor, can I just can put in the ECM of a 90 and it will work??? I was hoping that someone might be able to point me in the right direction as to what is involved with upgrading to the 90 HP with out the major cost of a new motor... i can get ahold of a chip upgrade which will give approximately 15% extra power is this a better way to go? Thanks

Im not sure what you are looking at but if you can tell me so i understand the differences that would be appreciated, as the workshop manul i have have says everything is pretty muc the same apart from the EMC. The parts list i have also looked at when ordering a 90 cylinder head is the same as a 70 for a 2009 model but l could be wrong thats why I'm asking.. as i said the only difference i can see is the EMC.
any help would be appreciated if i can just change the EMC.

Oke, this is what I found:
DF70A 2009 camshaft:
https://www.boats.net/catalog/suzuki...80001/camshaft
DF90A 2009 camshaft:
https://www.boats.net/catalog/suzuki...80001/camshaft
I see similarities between the DF60A and the DF70 but not between the DF70A and the DF90A.
I could be wrong but that is what I found out.

"DF70A 80A 90A EO3-006"
They seem to be using the same camshaft
