I have a 2008 DF 225 Suzuki that is running fine but when I get off a plane it just dies and I have to restart. When I restart it runs fine at low idle and I am able to move around fine, but when I pick it back up and and cruise for awhile it will die again once I stop cruising. Any ideas. Also a side note that my tach is not reading at all. All it says is SC or 5C one of the two. Could that just be a bad tach and I need to replace. Not sure, just want to be safe on the water. When you get off the plane and it stalls, do you pump the fuel bulb and restart, or just restart?
Had a problem on my mates boat recently (DF300 on a Striper 2301) and it was very similar to your description. When it stalled the fuel bulb would be soft. Pump up and it would go again.
It turned out to be the anti-syphon valve on the tank, we removed that valve and problem solved. We had replaced the fuel bulb as well without any luck, so it was definitely the AS valve.
