Having a Hell's Bay Professional with Tunnel built and trying to decide between the 60A and 60AV high output version. Clearly there are two potential advantages with the High Energy version for a boat designed to run in shallow water. 1) Improved hole shot made possible by using larger pitch prop 2.) The higher pitch prop with heavier cup will allow for running in the aerated surface water with a tunnel.
My questions are: 1) I think based on literature on line that the AV weighs 22 lbs more, I think - Suzuki data varies from doc to doc, what is the weight difference? 2) I can also tell from a drawing on line that the gear case is larger as expected. What I cant tell without dimensions is if the AV has the same overall length as the A or if the AV is longer? This matters a great deal to me based on the fact that it can affect run on plane depth if it is longer depending on the severity of the difference, if any.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
