I have a DF40 tiller model on a 17' Jon boat. When accelerating to nearly 1/3 throttle, the rev limiter kicks in, followed by a series of beeps, about 2 seconds apart. When I throtle back to an idle, the engine runs smoothly but the beeps continue. To kill the alarm, I need to turn off the motor with the electric ignition (key) and restart. Engine starts and runs perfectly at low rpm's, but once above about 1/3 throttle, the issue presents itself. Any recommendations? I have taken it to an authorized Suzuki repair shop in Washington State four times to fix the same issue without any success. The last time in, they adjusted the linkage for shifting saying that could cause the rev limiter to engage, but the problem persists...
