2005 df115 will not turn off

Our df115 will not turn off with the key or the kill lanyard. Had to turn off battery power to stop it. I traced out the wiring and the only thing I could see that might cause the problem is the master relay.
Has anyone had this issue?

We have not had this problem to date, master relay could cause the symptoms.

Had a Yamaha that did that replaced cable to controls and it corrected problem
