I changed the impeller in my 2004 DF70 4 stroke. Engine ran smooth but didnt get water from pee hole. I removed water muffs, and submerged LU in bucket of water over intakes. Still didnt get pee indicator. I slowly shifted into drive and prop kicked(trashed bucket) and I pulled back and shut down. It was then that I realized I had only forward and neutral and shifter feels out of sync. prop turns free in neutral, but turns with resistance at each full turn. Did I mess up when reinstalling the LU by not putting in a certain gear, and could this effect the water flow?
