hi i have a suzuki dt55 model No 05501 205223 which i think is a dt55clf 1985-87, i am having trouble locating a coil for ignition i have been to various boatyards etc they tell me part no longer made,i was wondering if anyone knows where i could get one or an alternative part that could be used

Hi.

I believe you are correct that the coil is no longer available from Suzuki, so a used item is probably your only choice.

They turn up on ebay sometimes, even 'new-old stock' so you might be lucky.

If it was me I'd be trying any coil I could lay my hands on, but I wouldn't want to suggest you do it in case it wrecks your CDI unit.

Where are you? I think I have a set of coils from a similar vintage DT65 in my garage which are the same part number. I'm in the UK however.
