I have a DF 30 with remote tilt.
Trying to use for first time this year. Not able to start it, and remote tilt
does not work at all.
Battery is older but seems good. Getting 12V.
My small bilge pump is getting power, and works fine.
Could it be that the battery is not providing enough amperage to
run the power tilt and to turn over the motor? When I take off the
positive cable for the bilge pump and touch it to the positive
battery lead it sparks appropriately.
But when I take off the positive cable for the motor and touch it I get
no spark when attempting to connect it even when I have a buddy hold down the power tilt. I used a mter to test each cable at the motor as it is connected to make sure it is getting transferred battery power and I see 12V.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ed
