This motor is running well and compression is all within range. Been out on the water 4-5 times last two weeks. yesterday the motor stalled when put in gear. this is an oil injection 2 stroke motor. the only thing i did that might of messed it up (this is my first boat and outboard motor) is adding oil to the fuel tank? it is oil injection so im not sure i need to add oil to tank - I did anyway. shortly after adding oil the motor started to stall. i looked at the carb intakes and noticed the same blue/ green oil pooling (very small pool) on the ledge below the carb intakes.
is it possible too much oil could make the motor stall under load>
