  • Milky Oil in crankcase; DF-60

I have an '02 df60 that has only about 200 hours on it. I changed the oil using Mobil 1, before putting it in the water this spring. Been out about 6 times since and yesterday after getting home checked the oil and noticed it was over full and sorta Milky. I read the TSB on "Making Oil" but don't believe it is Gas contamination. The motor runs strong on the water, but has a slight vibration in the 2K range and at Idle.

I have read a few threads saying it could be a head gasket. If it is a head gasket, whats the average cost? Can the head be removed without removing the power head?

Anyone have an idea where to look?

Well if Suzuki's issues extends to different horse powers, I would check the oil pan gasket and engine holder gasket. Both have been known to fail, causing water to get into the crankcase and turning the oil into a nice "mocha" looking color.

That's the color of the Oil. Had This again last week after 3 times out trolling Which I do almost exclusively. Changed the oil, New filter, ran it twice and we are starting to get milky again. It was fine before going out yesterday, Trolled for 3 hours, and ran it hard coming in. Just starting to get milky.....

You definately have a water leak that needs to be addressed. WEDOCQ has the right idea.
