Hi,
Starting last summer I noticed that my volt meter was acting funny - ranging from 14.5 - 7 volts. I changed the volt meter gauge and it read 14.5 for the balance of the season.
I just put the boat back in the water and initially the volt gauge indicated 14.5 above 1500 RPM and 12.5 below 1500. Now it is pegged at 12 with no fluctuation on the RPM range. Tach is working fine.
It has been recommended that I change the voltage regulator but I do not want to start swapping parts without a reason
What are your suggestions for diagnosis?
Thanks
