DF40 -99 mod. temp and rev limit kicking in.

Hi.

Having problem with my 99 DF40. When laying at full speed for a while. Suddenly temt and rev limit kicks in.
Stopps the engine, wait a minute and then starts it again. Starts fine and then it can go for a litte or long while before it kicks in again.
Had it in at a certified Suzuki dealer 2 times last fall. They replaced some temp sensors, impeller, spark plugs ond so on..
But still have the same problem.

Enyone else had this problem, and solved it? Please write!

what about thermostat and water pressure relief valve ?

Going to test the thermostat. Take it out and test it without thermostat.

Can u explain a bit more about the pressure relief valve?
Wher is it placed? What to look for?

A newbie at outboard engines. But tierd of the dealer just trying this and trying that. So i want to try myself and chek the simple things myself.
