Hello everyone. I hope someone out there has a simple answer to a somewhat vexing problem I have with a 1991 DT25C that I bought last year.
It seems that transistioning from idle to full throttle is almost an on-off affair. Very hard to make a smooth throttle change.
I had the carbs off after doing some other repairs, but the problem was there before that. I have 2-stroke experience (chain saws, etc.) and was wondering if the carbs need service/rebuild. Are there transistion ports in the carbs similar to the small engine carbs or should I be looking elsewhere for a problem?
Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. Occasionally when throttling down for full to idle (as when entering a no wake zone) the engine is reluctant to idle and stalls, but will restart fairly easily.
