Df 140 wont rev up

I have a 2002 Df 140 that has not been run for 9 months. I started the motor the other day on the muffs and it idles fine but once you put it in gear to rev up it quickly dies. I have removed the fuel filter at the back of the engine replaced it but problem is still present.

has anyone had similar problems?

Have you tried running the motor with a different fuel assembly in a portable tank with fresh fuel?

Try that first and rev the engine the same way. If motor works fine then it's probably your fuel or fuel line assembly pump. Was the old fuel treated with a fuel stabilizer?

Yes, have tried fresh fuel and are still having problems. I have now managed to get the motor to Rev to 200 rpm where it will stay for about 30 seconds and then cut out and die.

Could it possibly be blocked injectors?
