Df 140 RPM drops

I have a df 140 that when running loaded at almost max rpms suddenly drops about 500rpm, a few seconds later it will surge and gain the 500rpm again.

No alarms.

I am not hitting the rev limiter...

Seems like a brief fuel delivery problem.

Ideas???

have you serviced you vst little filter in there

VST - are you talking about the small filter in the high pressure fuel pump?

yes that one
