Wire harness checked out fine, fuel pressure on rail is good, spark to 1 & 4 is good, no error codes on tach, engine starts, idles and accelerates but runs rough as only cylinders 1 & 4 are firing.
Replaced the coil pack that was out of specification (ohm check). Still no spark on 2 & 3, no signal to the coil pack. Motor runs as before. I did not check for fuel at cylinders 2 & 3 or if the injectors were firing, there was no noticeable fuel in the exhaust.
I am leaning towards a bad ecu but do not want to believe that. What situation could cut out cylinders 2 & 3? I am very impressed that the motor runs so well on 2 cylinders.
