  • DF15A (2014) , warning engine lamp

    Hi
After running about 60 sec at "cruising speed", the engine lamp is constantly lit.
As I understand that could be low oilpressure, overheating or overrevving.
I do see water comming out and the rev was "moderate". So I guees something is wrong with oil pressure.

I know from earlier that it can be sensitive on to low oil level (even within correct level) so I always put it on max level.

Oil and oil filter has just been replaced. Can ANYTHING has been done wrong by doing this......or is to take it to a workshop?

Does the alarm clear itself when the engine is slowed?

      Sometimes, but usually not.

If engine is turned off, then the lamp is unlit again.

We could speculate but the best way to know for sure and diagnose properly would be to connect the engine up to SDS, and it will show the code that was thrown and the number of times. Then the appropriate correction can be made.

You are right. Buth then I have to buy one.

For cars, such investigations are "basic" but perhaps moving in that direction also for outboard engines.
