pull or push remote throttle?

I have aquired a DF25A, 2016.
Existing throttle cables seem to fit (from an older Honda)
but the honda cable is pull to go from idle to WOT, suzuki seems the other way around!

i.e. with no connection at all the throttle control springs forwards.

It hooks up fine, but looks to me like Honda cable is holding it at wide open when set to idle/neutral, and closes the throttle when you open it up!

Do I have it wrong or are Honda and Suzuki really opposite each other?

I don’t know Honda’s but I would be surprised if it works differently
I suspect it is on the cable adjustment where the cables terminate at the engine
you should have WOT at both ends of the remote movement

I think typically the remotes Push forward for forward and pill back for reverse
can only suggest disconnect cables at engine - put remote in neutral - put engine in neutral - then adjust cables to fit the neutral position of engine connections
the only other thought is the length of the cable ends that terminate at the engines are slightly different lengths for the two different models
