  • Leaking PTT

I have a shop manual on the removal of the PTT manifold. It is leaking and I have the repair parts. However I am in able to remove manifold with “Light taps”. I removed the stop screw but the manifold doesn’t move at all. Any suggestions short of a hydraulic press?

WTF is a PTT manifold? Pin through the tilt ram on top & pin through motor mounts on the bottom disconnect 2 wires and fix it? If pin's won't move tap it out with a HAMMER & BRASS DRIFT?

Didn’t know what to call the lower shaft that connects the three pieces of the PTT. Fluid flows through these so it’s a manifold of sorts. The pin seizes into the cylinder and there isn’t a hammer and brass punch that will move it. Your description makes the job sound easy but it can not be removed unless the motor brackets are split. The PTT is also bolted to both brackets.
