Hi Guys, I picked up a 1987 Suzuki dt 175 for a rebuild. It has a couple of scored cylinders. My thought were to bore and re sleeve to size of original piston and re ring. Problem is finding the parts for rebuild. Also consider buying a used cylinder block. Could not seem to find one online. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction to locate parts I need for the rebuild. Flip side is late eighties 2.5 200hp for rebuild. Parts are in abundance easy to find. Thing is don’t know much about the Suzuki. Trying to get a heads up on the dt 175. And which one I should rebuild. It for a 21 foot tunnel hull bass boat. I thank all of you Guys for any input. I appreciate it

Cut your losses and rebuild a Merc 2.5- trying to find parts and rebuild a 30 year old Suzuki that was never popular to begin with will be an exercise in frustration.
Merc parts and knowledge are cheap and plentiful. Rebuilt right, a carbureted 2.5 Merc is pretty bulletproof as well. In my book, the choice is a no-brainer...
