DF225 Wiring Schematic: Symbology

One of my 2004 DF225's has no power or PTT from the helm, and everything I have found says it has to be the "White Wire". I have the shop manual for the motors, and checked the wiring diagram, but I cannot figure out two of the symbols in the bottom right corner of the schematic (see link or attachment).
Can anyone help me?

Yes. Great info, and I have a plan in mind, but the symbols in the shop manual's wiring diagram look like fuse symbols with < and > symbols inside them (check the attachment). I have no idea what they are or where they are phisically located in the harness. Any idea what they mean?

Sorry I missed this
the white wire has an "in-line fuse"
mine is buried in the wire bundle
you can check the fuse by finding the end nearest the remote and doing a voltage check.

with this being a 2004 boat the likely culprit is corrosion in any wire connectors
