Hello,
I lost the oil dipstick to my Suzuki DF140.
While I'm waiting for a replacement to arrive, I'd like to check my oil level.
Would someone be kind enough to measure their oil dipstick?
I need to know the following:
The length from the Top of the oil tube to the "full" mark on the dip stick.
Also, the length from the top of the oil tube to the end of the dip stick.
A photo will help.
With this info, I can get the oil level right. I've also learned that the dip-stick tube must be inserted when you run the engine... otherwise oil splatters out of the tube.
I plan to use something thin and harmless (Probably a length of stiff wire) to determine the oil level, and see if I can fashion a reliable and safe way to plug the tube so that I can run the motor
to at least finish my tune up. Monday or Tuesday the part is supposed to arrive at my local zuki dealer.
Thanks in advance for the help.
