Had the 3-6 code come up towards the end of last season. 350 hours on motor. My service manager said I do a lot of trolling recommended running about 30 minutes at higher RPM to burn off carbon. (Water conditions don't allow me to run like that very often). It worked for a while but code came back. I could tell the engine did not run as smooth as it should. Still got the code the first several times out this year. Called to make appointment and waiting list is about two months out. Now the code has not come back for the last several trips out while waiting to get service and engine is running good. What would you do? Cancel the appointment and hope the code does not come back or go ahead and replace the O2 sensor when I have the chance to get it in the shop?
