  • 2015 DF250SS run issue

    Power head rebuilt

    New rings and bearings

Complete valve job and cylinder head work

    New TPS/throttle body

    New IAC

    Low pressure fuel pump 10lbs

    High pressure fuel pump 40lbs

    Injectors cleaned (1 year ago)

    Compression average 140PSI

First launch motor would not run in gear. Diagnosis was TPS. Replaced the TPS and launched again. Motor seem to run fine during break in process. After 5-7 hours I went to full throttle and couldn’t reach 5000RPM. Checked the spark and fuel pressure readings again. 3rd launch boat would hardly get on top of the water. Changed all fuel filters and launched again. Motor still feels as it has 1/2 power and will not get but 4800RPM. I had to work through a few bugs that the shop missed including adjusting the throttle linkage, loose power wire on the starter, missing bolts, etc…

Motor starts right up and idles perfect. Any idea what to check for the issues I have?
    TIA

Edit: After 5-7 hours, First full
    throttle the motor did reach
5800-6000RPM and 49 mph. Ran at
this speed for a very short time.
After a few more runs, I went to full
    throttle and couldn't reach
    5000RPM.

Might check fuel line to make sure it is not sucking in air
check breather for fuel tank to make sure spiders or bugs have not plugged up
does the fuel bulb get sucked in? or does pumping it help?
also since you did the rebuild - remember to 10 hour break-in procedure
