My 2000 DF40 is in great shape, 300hrs. Runs great.
However it is making a bad squealing noise at low RPM after it is warmed up. It sounds like a loose fan belt on an old car.
I do not hear it at idle, but when RPM is increased to 1500-2500 it starts to squeal. In gear or out of gear. Volume does not change when I take the cover off, so I don't think it is in the powerhead (but not 100% sure). It doesn't seem to have any affect on engine performance.
Any ideas?
