300AP Oxygen Sensor issues

Hi. I'm very close to buying a new 300AP. I've read many posts on other forums about oxygen sensor failures. I understand a newer sensor is installed when failures occur under warranty. My question is will a new 2017 300AP include the new style sensor and has this problem been alleviated? I also read that Suzuki was installing an "extender" which in effect moves the sensor further from the exhaust stream to prevent it from failing. Thanks. I want to trust this outboard and not be faced with hauling it to a dealer to replace sensors. Many of the posts I read included multiple sensor failures.

The redesigned sensor has been fitted to all new motors for some time now.

So your new motor will be supplied with them as standard.
