DT 65 tell tale working at idle

Hi guys, my 98 dt65 tell tale pumps when idling but when under way stops and then comes back when idling again.
please advise

First place I’d check would be the water pump. When was the last time the water pump was serviced? Salt or fresh water engine?

If you haven't serviced the water pump, then it's a good time. It is possible that some grommets may be worn out allowing exhaust to interfere with water pump picking up water. Inspect the lower parts carefully.
