Pole setting for DF 115? Sticky tach

Hi

I have a sticking analog Suzuki tachometer (stuck at 1200rpm) and thought I'd try to toggle the pole switch on the back to see if that helps. I did it before looking at the setting...it has #s 1-6. Can you tell me what it should be on for my 2007 model?

Any other tips for my sticky tach? It was working a week ago

this could be a different setting for different tachs
I can only suggest trial and error
you know the idle speed is going to be 550 +/-
find one of the settings that brings up this reading

and you were probable correct in moving the slider bar.
I thought mine was broken a few years back.. giving me all sorts of incorrect readings.. moving this switch several times re-created making good contact and it has worked just fine since.
