I have a 2001 DT225 Suzuki. My revlimit light comes on and I can only do 3000rpm. No other warning lights come on and no buzzer. I have shut down and restarted which is supposed to reset the revlimit. Still on. The manual says when only the revlimit comes on it is a faulty reset button or faulty CDI. I have a new CDI and Stator. I have plenty of oil and cleaned or replaced oil, temp and heat sensors.
First question is do I have a reset button on this motor? I have looked in the manual and all over the engine and have not found one. Shouldn't there be a sensor or somewhere to test or replace this item?
Secondly is the CDI able to be tested to see if it is operational?
I don't know where else to troubleshoot.
