I've connected my SMG4 gauges to my Garmin chartplotter via NMEA 2000, both devices see each other and the SMG4 gauges display Lat & Long from the GPS. They won't however show fuel economy (L/nm). Have I missed a setting?
In the SMG4 menu, go to Initial Settings, find Water Speed and toggle it to off. This causes the gauges to then use GPS data from the network to calculate fuel exonomy.
