SMG 4 Gauge and Garmin Network

Good Morning, I've hooked everything up to the network for my new 250 Suzuki - The Garmin and gauge are reading everything except the MPG and on the gauge. It just reads ------! It also says water speed which I have no idea how to switch to ground so maybe the network would pick up. There are no directions in the manual either - hELP

You have to go into the gauge’s Initial Settings menu and select the sensors menu, then find the water speed sensor settings and turn water speed off.

This will then allow the gauge to use GPS speed from the Garmin network to calculate mpg.

Okay- can I do that without resetting everything-? I don’t want to mess with anything else-
