Motor won't start
I have a DF50 which won't start. The power trim works and all fuses appear to be operable, but the starter does nothing.....not a sound. Any ideas?

My DF25A does what sounds like the same thing every time I try to start it. I believe my shift linkage is slightly mis-adjusted, and the motor thinks it's in FWD gear, though the remote lever is in the Neutral position. There's an interlock switch in the motor that prevents it from starting when in gear...
My solution is to pull the shift lever into REVERSE, then come back to Neutral position from the REVERSE rather than from FWD. Works every time, which is why I haven't got around to fixing the underlying problem yet! Hopefully this winter... -
