Anyone know what part this is from a Suzuki 115 EFI?

Hi guys, does anyone know what this part is, sits by the starter motor and has water leaking from it (or it seems like water at least).

I got my boat today and started it up out of the water but the water that was going in wasn’t coming out of where it’s supposed to, opened up the engine cover and it water was leaking out of the part below. Anyone have a clue?

(Sorry if it doesn’t make sense, i’m pretty new to the whole boat thing)

Looks like the HP fuel pump. What motor is this, a 4 stroke (DF), or 2 stroke (DT)? You don't mention the year? The past circled is next to the throttle/ control linkages.

Did you just have some work on your motor done (if so take it back and show them)?

The circled part appears to be the high pressure fuel pump, as Solarman said. Don't see it being anywhere near the starter motor.

Ah okay, thanks for all the replies guys. I’ll take it to a Suzuki service centre and get the whole thing checked out and serviced. The person I bought it off didn’t specify the engine year but it only has about 185 hours so I doubt it’s too old. But thanks again
