Need some help. 01 DT140. when i turn my key, the check engine light will flash once, then flash 4 times. it will be off for a couple of seconds, then repeat. it does the same thing when i have the muffs on it and it is running. Any ideas???

I just ordered a manual. I talked to someone that has a manual and was told it is the cylinder head over temp sensor. so what would be my next step?Comment

How does the tell-tail stream look? Is it weak, or strong at idle?
When was the last water pump impeller & housing replacement service done?
Do you run in salt water? Do you flush motor when run in salt water evertime?
When was the thermostat cleaned, checked or replaced?
Have you tried to start the motor AT ALL when impeller was dry, without muffs, or motor being in the water?
