300 hp four stroke 6 cylinder

I recently purchased a pontoon boat with a 300 Suzuki
It seems that every time I get in shallow water
And it gets in the sand or mud even for just a second
With the pick up so low it gets stopped up and is
Difficult to get out. Other then not getting in shallow
Water does anyone else have this problem

Your problems are just beginning!!
Any outboard should never, repeat- never, be run in sand or muck
You will wear out the impeller, plug up water passages and basically create more problems than you can imagine ever existed
If you don't have s depth guage with a depth alarm - get on
Turn the engine off or tilt it but you just can't let the prop get on the sand
