I have a DF250 and it has never caused me any concern until recently. As I have read many times, the scenario is as follows.
Initial startup and run is fine. 5200 RPM for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Turn motor off for 30 minutes to an hour.
Starts fine after shutdown.
Get the boat on plane and engine cuts out for no apparent reason.
Get the 3 beeps from tachometer/monitor system. According to my manual this is an "Engine Stalling" warning.
Primer bulb is not hard.
Squeeze bulb a few times and engine starts. May run all day after that or it did stall out a few times after squeezing the primer bulb. It was hot that day, 100 degrees but calm water - inland reservoir. Changed primer bulb and water/fuel separator filter. Same result next day. I fueled up after that 2nd try with non ethanol fuel and ran boat on smaller lake but only around 4000 rpm due to speed limit on lake and only about 75 degrees ambient. Everything ran fine. Very puzzled on this one. Any words of wisdom out there? Thanks.
