  • Oil pressure - actual vs. gauge vs. manual

I have a 2013 DF60A with 150 hours that i changed the fuels line and water separator on this week. While running at about 2000 rpm on a wakeless lake yesterday on the first trip since the new lines, i started getting beeping, but no lights. I couldn't really discern a pattern to the beeps. We continued on to our spot. After we fished we ran the same speed a mile away but the beeping never returned. The OP gauge was about 7 PSI.
Today I went out to get a bettter idea and run it. So at idle in neutral its 2PSI, 2000rpm in gear 7PSI, 3000rpm 11PSI. WOT 5600RPM in the whitecaps that came up 13PSI.
I was going to idle the length of the lake to try to get the alarm to come on again but the sudden gale squashed that.

The manual says the gauge should read 14PSI . So should it be 14PSI at idle in neutral? My buddy (merc i think) says his varies with speed.

So is my motor oil pressure behaving normally?
    Thanks

To be more clear, what does your dashboard oil pressure gauge indicate? A constant psi or a psi that increases with load and or an increase in rpm?? I'm working checking psi at the inspection port if I can get the dang Allen screw out
