  • Break in procedure.

Hey guys, I just started to do the break in procedure on my new Suzuki, I have to run at 3000 rpm for the first two hours but the boat struggles to hold a good plane.
Not wanting to lug the engine too badly I have to run at about 3400 rpm, do you think this OK?, will I have warranty problems if I run it in at a higher rpm?.
    Thanks
    Phil.

Yes its fine. Push it up a bit to where its more comfortably planing along, not lugging.

The ecu only records engine rpm in 1000rpm blocks. So whether you do 3001 rpm or 3901 rpm, it all records as x hours in the 3000-4000rpm range.

Thanks mate, hadn't considered that and that puts me at ease. I'll hit you up later when I try to get engine data on my Simrad.
      Cheers
      Phil
