Fuel leak when not in use

Hi folks, I have a DF 140, 2019, and had no issues until two days ago. Sitting in my driveway, the fuel was leaking at the input to the motor. Upon relaxing pressure from the gas cap, the leak went away. Any thoughts on what to do here? I changed the clamp, but today it still leaked when it warmed up from the sun.

Your tank shouldn’t pressurise the fuel line that much.

I suggest that

1. Check the fuel tank breather to make sure its not blocked. If it is not letting air in as fuel is used, then the engine will also be starved of fuel when it is running.

2. Check the connection where fuel is leaking when the line is pressurised. It might need to be tightened. Your description wasnt really clear about exactly where that leak was - you might have to take the cowl and side covers off the engine to inspect the connection more closely and ensure that the fuel hose hasn’t been damaged.

Thanks, the leak is located at the fuel line connection at the motor after the bulb. Replaced Oetiker Clamp. On the lake it seemed to run fine over the past weekend. I’ll check the breather on the tank to confirm it’s not blocked

I presume you checked the condition of the hose where the clamp goes to make sure there are no splits etc.
