Hi new to this forum. I have a suz 9.9 dpf0099lf-971084 mounted on a crestliner 21 tournament, I took it to a local shop to have cables installed for the controls, and had them change oil and replace the water pump impeller. When i got it back they claimed that it did not have oil pressure. After waiting a month for them to diagnose i retrieved the boat and took it apart myself. I found that they had not changed the oil, but had changed the impeller. I turned the motor over with the filter housing cover off and found that the oil pump was not pumping oil. My question is this, Does the oil pump run off of the same shaft that also runs the water pump? if it does could the shop have somehow damaged the oil pump gear while replacing the impeller? is this a possibility?..the engine ran fine before i took it to the shop. The shop returned my money when i showed them the oil filter they had not replaced , But now i`m looking at a teardown of the engine to figure out why its not pumping oil. Any help would be appreciated,
