  • 2009 Suzuki dt40el lower unit

I have had my outboard seviced by a Suzuki dealer before. This time i have done it myself; I have just taken the lower leg off to do the water pump. The 6 bolts that separate the lower leg had a blue colour grease on them from the dealer that was very sticky to help with corrosion and removal of the lower leg. The grease i have isn't like that. Would anyone know what the grease could be? BTW I am in Australia.

    Moonlighter might have that answer?
He does have friends in suzuki's outback there. I suspect it is some kind of anti-corrosion/anti-seizing grease.

    Good luck.

Molytec I believe makes that blue very sticky grease.

Good stuff. I use their Ultra tac grease for my boat trailer wheel bearings.
