Suzuki DF150 doesn’t beep...

I have a 2009 DF150 4stroke that when I turn the ignition key to start it doesn’t beep.
The motor starts but not as quick as normal and idles slow.
Runs and planes out fine, any help would be appreciated as Suzuki Mechanics are rare it seems.

When you turn the key to the on position, not start, does the warning lamps light up for a second or two or is the tachometer completely dead?

The tach doesn’t work.

That's your answer. If it's the kind of tach that has the warning lights built in, the buzzer is also part of that unit. When you turn the key on, you should get the warning buzzer for a couple seconds, along with all warning light illuminating (to show that they work), and the tach needle would momentarily position to a number indicating the engine hours, before returning to zero. Find out why the tach doesn't work and you'll likely get your warning buzzer back, too.

The tach and for that matter all the gauges hasn’t worked since 2013 and the beep worked till this spring.

How about the four warning lights? Are they on the tach, or a separate gauge? And do they work? Have you checked any of your wiring? My gauges are all Faria gauges, not Suzuki. The warning lights are on a separate 2" gauge, the tach has a window at the bottom with an LCD readout of the engine hours. I know I have a warning buzzer, but with my hearing loss, I can't hear it.
