  • What grease are you using?

Doing a little maintenance on my 2019 150. What grease do I use on the trim tilt? I’m assuming there’s a zerk somewhere to attach the grease gun.

Suzuki has a water resistant grease, as does Amsoil, and surely a lot of other manufacturers. Things might have changed a little, but on my '07 DF150, there are two zerks for the tilt shaft, one zerk for the swivel shaft, at the center, left side about midway on the shaft. Also apply grease to the throttle cabling and throttle and shift levers under the cowling. There's one zerk there also as I recall, probably for the shift rod. Also one zerk on the right side, very near the tilt lock lever for that shaft.

If you simply type "grease" in the search box, there are several posts by members that include some pictures of the fittings on DF150s and 175s.

Thanks Mike. Academy has a marine grease, I think it’s a Lucas oil product
