Suzuki dt 8 to a 9.9

Hi all,
I've just joined so go gentle ! Lol

I have a old Suzuki dt 8hp 86-94 and I have the genuine Suzuki manual for it which it shares with the 9.9.
According to the manual everything is the same apart from the carb. My 8 has a 15mm carb and is jetted accordingly the 9.9 has a 18mm carb and jetted accordingly.
Am I right in think then that is the case ??
If so anybody got a carb or know where I can get one ? I can't seem to find many parts at all for them.
I am in the U.K. As well.

All you can do is look up your carb part number on line, click on the part # for your motor, then compare what motors your carb was used on, and do the same thing for the other motor. If it is a larger carb, it is possible the mounting would not be the same. If all the other parts are same, you might have to buy intake manifold to match newer carb.

All you can do with these older 2 strokes is Google the part number you are trying to find, with the item name.

Other than that, you can check all marinas, and dealerships for scrap motors, you might get lucky?
