DF115 Drive shaft free play

I have a 2007 DF115 with 90 hours. When removing the impeller i noticed the side-to-side free play of the drive shaft. The top of the shaft will move 1/8" in any direction. Can this be right ?

I'm gonna check the LU oil for water.

There should be no movement at all, something has caused the drive shaft bushing to wear away? Have you checked the oil level

Ignore that last post, just checked a 2011 leg i have and it wobbles around to

Yep very strange to me. I have a brand new 2007 Lower Unit for my Df250 and it's rock solid. Must just be the design of the smaller LUs.

the oil level was fine and the oil looks new. no milk.
