Hi,
I just bought a used DF9.9 (2009) and while removing the cowling I found a sheared-off bolt head, a washer, a steel ball and a bigger, thicker washer, completely loose at the bottom of the cowling.
Looking at the maintenance manual, the only place I found where a ball was mentioned is in the throttle system, in the accelerator pump. I have no experience working on these motors so can someone explain where and how I can access these balls to make sure none is missing. I am hoping that these parts fell off during previous maintenance work and were replaced by new ones, but I want to verify that before I put the motor in service.
